I haven’t posted anything here in over two years. Crazy.
Why? I wasn’t working on any interesting electronics projects at home during that time and focused on other activities.
Mainly going to the gym. Oh yes, I’ve made visible progress here, and I’ve doubled my weights. Finally, I understood that I need not only cycling to keep me fit, but actually a full-body workout to develop all muscles and keep body and soul active and fresh. I’ve never felt as good as now.
It was also a crazy journey – I started with 4 days a week with almost 2-hour sessions (yes, I was really motivated), now reduced to 3 or 4 days with only 45 to 60-minute sessions, to get better recovery, still maintain the motivation, and find time for other activities (like cycling).
Oh, now I cycle way less, but let’s say, with better quality. It helps with recovery, so I can push more “harder” training. Like, for commuting back from work to take a more scenic 33-km-long gravel route along the small river. And if I’m feeling really great, I can do some intervals, or a speedy ride (yes, I’ve got a KOM!)
Also, last week I decided what I want to restart my running “career”, to take part in some 5km long runs… Legs are still sore and hurting from the first run in a year…
But! I haven’t posted anything here in these 2 years… Now I have decided that I need to devote at least a quarter of an hour a week to this blog to summarize my thoughts on the past week and track my progress (or lack thereof).
15 minutes is only 0.5% of my free time per week. It’s worth it, isn’t it?
